Personas and the Five W’s — Discovering What to Write

Join Geoff Hart as he discusses how to use the new tool of personas to understand audience needs, and the traditional journalistic five W’s to create content that meets those needs — and equally importantly, to avoid creating irrelevant content.
Geoff works with authors from many parts of the world as a scientific editor and translator. An Associate Fellow of the Society for Technical Communication and past-president of STC Montreal, Geoff currently manages the Scientific Communication SIG and edits its newsletter.
This presentation will be held in English (questions will be answered in the language they were asked, English or French)
