Guerilla Usability: Enhancing the User Experience in a Reluctant Organization
STC-Montreal Event | Posted October 1st, 2006
Usable products increase sales and decrease support costs, providing an impressive return on investment that has been widely documented. Despite this, some organizations are reluctant to invest in the user-centered design methods that will enhance their user’s experience and their organization’s profitability.
What can the tech writer do?
Tech writers are well positioned to implement guerilla usability methods that nudge, prod, encourage, and—in extreme circumstances—harass the reluctant organization toward improved usability and profitability.
What’s in it for you? Greater influence and respect within your organization and the satisfaction of knowing you’ve helped your users.
In this presentation you will gain an overview of user-centred design methods and the strategies and tactics to implement them in your organization.
