What’s New in Instructional Design
STC-Montreal Event | Posted January 11th, 2008
Today’s workers urgently need to find better ways of handling the torrent of information that they need to stay current. This need is pushing the role of the instructional designer to the forefront of the high-tech industry.
Join Laura Jaffrey for a brisk discussion about the current trends and future directions in the field of instructional design.
Laura will discuss:
- New evidence-based research in multimedia learning
- How companies are using informal learning tools in the form of blogs, wikis and knowledge bases
- How to develop an instructional design strategy that successfully meets both client expectations and learner requirements
- How the SCORM framework and learning management systems are being used to promote self-directed learning
