Tips for Editing Videos and Creating Podcasts (Vermont STC)
Non-STC-Montreal Event | Posted February 28th, 2008
The Vermont Chapter of the Society for Technical Communication is pleased to present Tips for Editing Videos and Creating Podcasts on March 11, 2008.
In our fast-paced work environment today, we are often asked to stretch our expertise into new and developing areas. If you have to make a presentation, a powerpoint slide deck may not be enough. Enter into the world of video creation and editing. You may need to use the power of video to communicate your ideas persuasively.
Or perhaps you need to communicate with your team who may be situated all over the globe. Join the world of podcasting to share your ideas and verbal communications with your coworkers.
Have you been asked to look into Google Apps? These are free, online tools rapidly gaining increased use by consumers. Join us to learn more about some of these new ideas for cutting edge communication and persuasion.
Jay Blanchard from General Dynamics will share with us some of the areas he has moved into including video editing and creating podcasts.
Jay Blanchard joins Vermont STC again to share more of his expertise. Previously he addressed issues involving copyright compliance in the workplace, and methods that companies and individual contributors can use to ensure compliance with United States copyright laws. Jay is a graduate of the Penn State University Film & Video program, and has worked on hundreds of short films, documentaries and corporate video productions. Jay has worked for General Dynamics Armament and Technical Products since 2003, starting as a Multimedia Specialist and later moving into his current position as an External Communications Specialist.
