Call for Volunteers for the STC-Montreal Competition

STC-Montreal is seeking Volunteers for its 2008-2009 Competition
Would you like to get involved in a dynamic team of technical communication professionals, learn new skills of competition management and have fun?
If the answer is yes, then volunteering for the STC-Montreal competition this year is the opportunity that you don’t want to miss.
The annual competition recognizes outstanding technical communicators who produce material in many categories of technical communication including:
- Online Communication
- Technical Publications
Most of the tasks that the volunteer will undertake are ongoing. They are required only for specific steps in the competition process, and don’t require commitment over a long period of time. These tasks include:
- Publicizing the competitions
- Recruiting judges
- Managing entries
- Planning and running judging events
- Recognizing competition winners
