Job 1

Technical Illustrator – full time (Ville St-Laurent)

Researches, develops and/or revises aircraft component
operational/maintenance technical illustrations (i.e.: within manuals,
modification leaflets, service bulletins, temporary revisions), as per
written instructions provided by the customer. Illustrate aeronautic
components in perspective (isometric/dimetric) and other views that are
dimensionally accurate based on engineering drawings. Understand art
packages to determine the type of source data necessary to complete a job
(VL, GT, I-deas, Pro-E, Raster Images or pick up art) and how to bring
them
into compliance with the specified specification(s) and/or style guide.

Requirements

Degree or certificate in a Graphic/Technical/Industrial Design program
AND/OR at least 3 years experience working in an aerospace technical
illustrating and/or design related function; Proficient with PTC IsoDraw,
Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, and the iGrafx suite; Ability to read and
understand engineering drawings, engineering specifications, engineering
change orders, schematics, wiring diagrams, block diagrams, and
illustrated parts catalogs; Ability to communicate effectively in English
(written and verbal).

Job 2

Illustrated Parts Writer – full time (Ville St-Laurent)

Develops and revises Illustrated Parts Lists (IPL), Illustrated Parts
Catalog (IPC) and Parts Provisioning Breakdown (PPB) content for component
maintenance manuals, as per written instructions provided by the customer.
Maintain Parts Lists (IPL/IPC/PPB) data in accordance with various
controlling specifications and guides with minimum supervision. Ability
to
accurately, clearly, and succinctly write new and/or revised aircraft
related and/or component parts list data, in compliance with the specified
industry specification, and reflective of written instructions and
engineering data provided by the customer. Read and interpret engineering
data including drawings, schematics, and specifications. Support the
Technical Project Leader in various project administrative/set-up tasks,
such as: ordering technical illustrations; source data research, analysis,
and organization; establishing standard project folder structure on
network
and population of data/documents within that folder structure.

Requirements

Diploma/degree in a recognized aerospace, avionics, mechanical, technical,
or electronics program AND/OR at least 3 years experience working in an
aerospace technical writing and/or maintenance/engineering related
function;
Familiar with aerospace, commercial and/or military technical publications
and specifications. (C-01-100-100/AG-006, ATA 100, ATA 2100/2200, S1000D);
Knowledge of basic technical publication and IPC/IPL layout and customer
standards; Ability to read and understand engineering drawings,
engineering specifications, engineering change orders, schematics, wiring
diagrams, block diagrams, and illustrated parts catalogs; Ability to
communicate effectively in English (written and verbal).

Technical Writer – full time (Ville St-Laurent)

Researches, develops and/or revises aircraft component
operational/maintenance technical documentation (e.g. manuals,
modification leaflets, service bulletins, temporary revisions), as per
written instructions provided by the customer. Ability to accurately,
clearly, and succinctly write new and/or revised aircraft related and/or
component technical information, in compliance with the specified industry
specification, and reflective of written instructions and engineering data
provided by the customer; Write and create functional theory of operation
or
description and operation level of information from engineering source data;
Support the Technical Project Leader in various project
administrative/set-up tasks, such as: ordering technical illustrations;
source data research, analysis, and organization; establishing standard
project folder structure on network and population of data/documents
within
that folder structure.

Requirements

Diploma/degree in a recognized aerospace, avionics, mechanical, technical,
or electronics program AND/OR at least 3 years experience working in an
aerospace technical writing and/or maintenance/engineering related
function;
familiar with aerospace, commercial and/or military technical publications
and specifications. (C-01-100-100/AG-006, ATA 100, ATA 2100/2200, S1000D);
knowledge of basic technical publication layout and customer standards;
working knowledge of technical English grammar and punctuation; ability to
read and understand engineering drawings, engineering specifications,
engineering change orders, schematics, wiring diagrams, block diagrams,
and
illustrated parts catalogs; ability to communicate effectively in English
(written and verbal)

Job 4

Technical Editor – full time (Ville St-Laurent)

Reviews, comments on, and edits aircraft component operational/maintenance
technical documentation (e.g. manuals, modification leaflets, service
bulletins, temporary revisions) that have been created or revised.
Co-ordinates the reproducible copy activities,’ for validation’ customer
review process, and final compliance process. Edit technical publications
and documents for consistency, page composition, level of readability and
technical accuracy to ensure that the documentation produced adheres to
the
expressed desired level of quality. Be knowledge-proficient in the various
commercial/defense specifications and ensure that the documentation
created/revised by Technical Writers and Technical Illustrators adhere to
these specifications. Work with internal and/or external users, writers,
and
support personnel to determine editorial requirements and interpret customer
needs.

Requirements

Diploma/degree in related field or equivalent years experience as an editor;
highly organized; process and detailed oriented; manuscript editing
experience (in English); experience in editing technical and/or aircraft
maintenance/operational information; strong communication skills and
tactful; computer literate; understanding of Framemaker; knowledge of
Interleaf/Quicksilver, MSWord, MSExcel
