Technical Writer – Montreal – long term contract

My client is a growing global organization looking for an intermediate technical writer to join the technical communications group on writing online help and user guides.

The technical writer will analyze, design and develop written or visual product related documentation for e.g. web – (e.g., user/configuration/troubleshooting guides), and online information (interactive demos, help systems) integrated into product, for anyone from the end users though to developers. The technical writer will code, build, compile, test online information, provide feedback and with this knowledge
help define/refine the product requirements. You will interface with various departments such as marketing and manufacturing.

You will act as an informed team member providing analysis of information and limited project direction input. You will follow established guidelines and interpret policies whilst evaluating unique circumstances
and make recommendations.

Qualifications:
·Technical diploma/degree, or communication diploma/degree or equivalent
·Ability to digest and consolidate large amounts of highly technical information and translate them into easy to understand terms and documentation
·Excellent communication, interpersonal, research and problem solving skills
·Experience writing user, administrative and developer documentation
·Demonstrated ability to work simultaneously on multiple complex, technical projects on tight deadlines
·Superior proofreading and editorial skills
