If you left your STC membership lapse this year, STC-Montreal would like ask you to also unsubscribe from any SIGs to which you might also have memberships.

It is true that if you’re no longer an STC member, you’ll be unsubscribed eventually. But this is not an automated process. It can take SIG managers hours to sort through listserv membership lists in order to figure out who needs to be unsubscribed.

On the other hand, it takes you only a few moments to send an unsubscribe request to the SIG list server.

This is a trying time for everyone at STC. But if you’re not renewing this year, remembering to send that unsubscribe message makes things a little easier on the volunteers who served you.
