Content Developer/Technical Writer

We are looking for an experienced technical writer to join our Knowledge Management Team for our Video Intelligence Solution division. Verint® Video Intelligence Solution is the worldwide leader in networked video — an innovator in video technology and a leading video solution provider to government and critical infrastructure, education and corporate enterprise, transportation, retail, banking, and a host of other industries.

In collaboration with the Knowledge Manager, Product Managers and Application Developers, you will write and maintain technical publications supporting our products and verticals. You will be part of the whole product cycle, from functional specifications review to production, localization and product life-cycle. As a player in our team, you will take an active role in content management including publication, distribution and archiving of documents that are posted on the intranet and extranet.

Principal Duties and Essential Responsibilities:

•Performs needs analyses to understand user goals and objectives, and identifies appropriate content deliverables for assigned projects.
•Writes content plans according to the product functional requirements
•Writes and revises content deliverables (e.g., online help, installation guides) per approved content plans, ensuring content deliverables adhere to established standards.
•Coordinates informal and formal reviews with subject matter experts and other applicable product team members.
•Provides peer edits for other writers, editing for content, style, copyediting, and proofreading
•Prepares content deliverables for deployment and distribution in document tracking repositories following established processes (TFS, Intranet, Extranet and Web).
•Regularly reports project status; recognizes potential problems and promptly reports issues to Knowledge Development Manager.
•Assists in development and maintenance of content development processes and standards.

Minimum Requirements:

•Bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing, English, Journalism, Instructional Design, or Computer Technology or in any other related field.
•Minimum of five years experience in a technical writing or instructional design position in a software development environment is essential
•Proficient in English writing with a good command of French
•Knowledge of Structured FrameMaker and ePublisher
•Strong interpersonal skills as well as excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
•Ability to maintain and adhere to project and individual schedules with minimal supervision.
•Must possess strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to address multiple projects and tasks while adhering to project schedules and deadlines.
