DESCRIPTION: Images and image processing

Images are important sources of information for interpretation and analysis. These might be images of products on a production line, cells magnified with a microscope, or security points in a building. If images are represented numerically (digitized), computers can reliably automate the extraction and the analysis of useful information using digital image processing.

Matrox and digital image processing

The Matrox Imaging Department develops state-of-the-art computer boards and comprehensive software libraries and interfaces, specialized in image acquisition and digital image processing. The Imaging technical writing group produces manuals and on-line documentation to explain these products to audiences with varying degrees of expertise.

Responsibilities of the candidate

Create and update, in English, user guide, reference, and product training course material for our Matrox Imaging hardware and software products.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or Computer Science (in progress or completed).
• GPA equal to or higher than 2.9/4.3 or 2.6/4.0.
• Knowledge of C and/or C++.
• Very strong written and oral English communication skills and good French communication skills.
• Ability to grasp technical concepts and good deduction skills.
• Meticulous, efficient at multi-tasking, and possess good organizational skills.
