<li>Research, write, and revise user-facing software manuals and online help systems;</li>
<li>Work with sales and marketing teams to write and revise text and illustrations for sales proposals ;</li>

<h2>Qualifications</h2>

<li>College degree preferably in computer science, journalism, linguistics, literature, or professional writing, or at least five (5) years experience in a documentation environment;</li>
<li>Minimum three (3) years relevant experience in similar position;</li>
<li>Excellent software development research skills (interviewing subject matter experts, reviewing issue tracking databases, using pre-release software, etc.);</li>
<li>Excellent English grammar and writing skills;</li>

<h2><strong>TECHNICAL WRITER:</strong></h2>
<p>Intelerad’s Learning &amp; Documentation team delivers the best product documentation in the industry, according to an independent survey of end-users. As a member of this team, you will develop and maintain task-based and reference documentation for both internal and external audiences. You will research topics through hands-on testing of software systems and interviewing staff subject-matter experts, and translate this knowledge into various documentation products. Products may include user guides, release notes, training guides, installation guides, and online help. You will also work to ensure the documents are developed according to established style guidelines.</p>
<p>The ideal candidate must be able to quickly come up to speed on complex technologies and manage project scope changes and tight deadlines. Further, he or she will possess impeccable writing skills, a keen eye for detail, and an understanding of software development processes. Technical skills and project planning abilities are essential for this position.</p>
<h3>Responsibilities include the following:</h3>
<ul>
<li>Develop a comprehensive knowledge of the company&#8217;s products and an understanding of their role and impact in the overall PACS system.</li>
<li>Research, outline, write, update, and verify content for print and online delivery.</li>
<li>Analyze and understand technical specifications, customer requirements,  user interfaces, and tasks in order to produce clear, concise  documentation.</li>
<li>Define scope of own work, estimate project tasks, update schedules, and  complete tasks on time and in synchronization with software development  cycles.</li>
<li>Ensure that documentation adheres to established style guidelines, and  work to improve documentation processes where needed.</li>
<li>Create professional quality screenshots and illustrations.</li>
<li>Follow established processes related to governmental regulations of the  medical device industry (FDA, Health Canada, etc.)</li>
<li>Produce other documentation that may be required for various departments  throughout the company.</li>
</ul>
<h2><strong>REQUIRED SKILLS:</strong></h2>
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing, Computer Science, Communications, English, or a related discipline.</li>
<li>5 to 10 years&#8217; experience e creating professional technical  documentation.</li>
<li>Strong knowledge of Structured FrameMaker, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft  Office, and PaintShop Pro or Photoshop.</li>
<li>Excellent English language writing skills.</li>
<li>Strong organizational and time management skills.</li>
<li>Proven experience managing documentation projects from conception  through delivery.</li>
<li>Experience with authoring online help systems.</li>
</ul>
<h2><strong>OPTIONAL SKILLS:</strong></h2>

<li>Familiarity with structured authoring, DITA, XML, and HTML.</li>
<li>Knowledge of Unix or Linux (Red Hat).</li>

If images are represented numerically (digitized), computers can reliably automate the extraction and the analysis of useful information using digital image processing.</p>
<h3>Matrox and digital image processing</h3>
<p>The Matrox Imaging Department develops state-of-the-art computer boards and comprehensive software libraries and interfaces, specialized in image acquisition and digital image processing. The Imaging technical writing group produces manuals and on-line documentation to explain these products to audiences with varying degrees of expertise.</p>
<h3>Responsibilities of the candidate</h3>
<p>Create and update, in English, user guide, reference, and product training course material for our Matrox Imaging hardware and software products.</p>
<h3>QUALIFICATIONS:</h3>

<p>Premium TPATS Inc. is currently looking for a Senior Software Documentation Developer willing to work from his/her home office.</p>

<h3>General</h3>
<ul>
<li>Experience writing documentation for software.</li>
<li>Experience with shipping software a plus, but not required.</li>
<li>Intuitive skills required for interpreting documentation written for software developers and translating into written instructions for software integrators.</li>
</ul>
<h3>Education</h3>
<ul>
<li>Bachelor of Arts or Science preferred. A major in professional or technical writing is preferred.  Minimum of 2 years of college.</li>
</ul>
<h3>Years of Related Experience</h3>
<ul>
<li>5+ years working with technical documentation for software</li>
</ul>
<h3>Tools</h3>
<ul>
<li>Strong skills in FrameMaker, required.</li>
<li>Experienced with two or more text processing tools and two or more graphic packages.</li>
<li>Experience with MadCap Flare or other XML-based tools a definite plus.</li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li>Effectively demonstrates leadership by motivation of entire team to successfully achieve team goals.</li>

<li>Mastery of English grammar and spelling.</li>
<li>Must be self-motivated to work from home and able to deal with multiple project fronts in an accelerated environment.</li>
<li>Strong interpersonal skills required to interface with client to make recommendations and/or troubleshoot.</li>
</ul>
<h3>Experience</h3>
<ul>
<li>Experience writing and editing for a variety of audiences from both written and oral sources and for multiple types of output (hardcopy, online help, etc.).</li>
<li>Performs peer-to-peer reviews.</li>
<li>Researches information to write or update product documentation.</li>
<li>Reports cross-product inconsistencies.</li>
<li>Experience in educating and mentoring others in technical communication:  writing, editing, indexing, designing and developing documentation.</li>
<li>Provides guidance to other staff members in all phases of product development.</li>
<li>Develops new techniques of soliciting and obtaining reviews of documents.</li>
<li>Has a track record in the design and development processes.</li>
<li>Notes trends in problems with documentation and can propose ways to improve it.</li>
</ul>
<h3>Estimating and Planning</h3>
<ul>
<li>Experience in estimating and planning own work and the work of others.</li>
<li>Works closely with technical management on business planning.</li>
<li>Provides preliminary estimates in planning process to achieve technical objectives of plan.</li>
<li>Develops detail project plans, including schedules.</li>

<p>This 12- to 14-month contract is an ideal opportunity for an experienced, senior-level technical writer.  In this role, you will be responsible for managing our client&#8217;s knowledge center.  You will scope technical writing projects, manage deliverables, and set priorities for a talented team of writers.  You will work with the management team to set strategies and goals<br />

- Produce computer-based training modules and videos, as well as maintain library<br />
- Manage documentation reviews<br />
- Revise, update and maintain existing technical documentation<br />
- Constantly search for opportunities to improve existing documents and processes<br />
- Develop and maintain a shared repository for all documentation on Sharepoint<br />
- Bachelor&#8217;s degree or equivalent related experience in English or Technical Communication, or equivalent combination of education and 3+ years of technical and process documentation experience<br />
- Documentation experience in software development or a technical services organization<br />
