<p>Thevco Electronic is seeking for a technical writer to join its technical<br />
writing team in St-Hubert.</p>
<p>Tasks &amp; Responsibilities<br />
•        Support and maintain the existing documentation<br />
•        Work in collaboration with engineers and technical writing team to produce user guides for various electronic devices<br />
•        Have very good writing skills in English<br />
•        Do the page layout with a desktop publishing software<br />
•        Follow the translation processes with external agencies<br />
•        Take part in learning and implementing the DITA architecture<br />
•        Take part in learning and implementing a CMS<br />
•        Work with the team to improve work processes</p>
<p>Experience<br />
•        3 to 5 years of work experience as a technical writer (provide English writing samples/portfolio).</p>
<p>Personal Qualifications<br />
•        Able to understand and synthesize concepts<br />
•        Good team player<br />
•        Polyvalent and easy-learner<br />
•        Interested in learning about new technologies<br />
•        Good common sense<br />
•        Accountable and engaged person</p>
<p>Academic Requirements &amp; Technical Knowldege<br />
•        Perfectly bilingual (written &amp; spoken)<br />
•        Excellent knowledge of the technical writing style<br />
•        Desktop publishing tool (InDesign, PageMaker, Framemaker)<br />
•        Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop (asset)<br />
•        Knowledge of the engineering work environment (asset)<br />
•        DITA or DocBook XML writing standard (asset)<br />
•        Structured authoring principles (asset)</p>
